Synopsis: 
A painter and his daughter, Margot, find an unconscious escaped murderer, Nick, and nurse him back to health. Nick falls in love with Margot. A romantic rival calls the police and they take Nick away. Margot kills the informant. Clay received a cinematography silver medallion, and went on to be Australia's first entry in competition at the Cannes Film Festival.
