Interested in taking an Arts intensive unit? Study Italian for beginners in Prato, Italy

Monash Arts offers a number of units at the Monash Prato Centre in Italy which are available to students from all faculties. Leading academics from around the world contribute their expertise to the Prato program while students have the opportunity to tour historic sites and landmarks as they study them. One of the many units available is the new beginner Italian language course which has been designed to help you make the most of your stay. Conversation exchange

Would you like to improve your English or Italian conversation skills in an informal and relaxed setting? The Monash Prato Centre provides its visitors and the local community with the opportunity to practise their conversation skills by meeting regularly at the Centre. The sessions are free and usually take place once a week during the lunch hour. For more information see the Local engagement webpage.

Carla Zampatti AC to visit Monash Prato Centre

In her new role as a patron of the Monash University Prato Centre, Carla Zampatti AC will visit Prato 11-12 June 2012.

Ms Zampatti will meet with Prato Centre staff as well as some of our local partners and community members. She will be accompanied by Prof. Stephanie Fahey, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement), Monash University.

Ritual and ceremony, 24 April - 4 May 2012

Maree Clarke, our current Artist-in-Residence, will be holding an end-of-residency exhibition 'Ritual and ceremony' at the Monash University Prato Centre.

An Aboriginal artist from north-west Victoria in Australia, Maree Clarke creates art which revives old cultural practices. All welcome to the exhibition opening 6pm Tuesday 24 April.
