Open Day - Friday 10 May 2013

In a first for Prato, the city’s three university campuses - Monash University (Melbourne, Australia), the University of Florence (Italy) and the University of New Haven (Connecticut, USA) - will open their doors to the public on Friday 10 May 2013. This milestone event is part of Prato Campus Week.

Friday 10 May 2013 @ Monash Prato Centre
Speedy Conversation Exchange – 6.30pm (Registration required)
After the overwhelming success of its first season, Conversation Exchange takes on a new and exciting format exclusively for Open Day. The Salone Grollo, the Centre’s ‘aula magna’, will be transformed into rows of tables and chairs to facilitate regular rotation between participants. Specific topics will be screened overhead to ensure you’ll never be short of conversation. Door prizes to be won and friends to be made!
Campus tours – all day
The Monash Prato Centre will be open to the public throughout the day. Come and visit us and:
·        view photographic exhibitions by Australian artists;
·        watch a newly released Indigenous Australian animation;
·        find out about our research activities and how to study at our campuses in Australia, Malaysia and South Africa; and even
·        take an English test!
Australian barbecue – 7.30pm
The day will end with the Monash Prato Centre’s signature Aussie-inspired barbecue in the picturesque courtyard of Palazzo Vai.
All events are free! Find out more on the Open Day website.
