We are a site for globally integrated research programs.
We act as a research incubator and we concentrate our global expertise on complex international challenge areas including migration, health, road safety, government and economic development. We are also the base for a Monash-led global consortium of historians.
We hold 35 international academic and research meetings on average each year. We have also hosted European Framework Program and European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST) meetings.
Leading journals and major international publishing houses publish the fruits of our research meetings. You can view these on our Publications webpage.
We have a number of location-specific research themes including:
- urban revitalisation through creative culture;
- migration; and
- an historical study of vulnerability, poverty and the movement of people.
These themes have been developed in collaboration with university partners and involve engagement with local government and industry.
