The following research fellowships are attached to the Monash University Prato Centre:
The Bill Kent Prato Research Fellowship
This fellowship supports early career Monash research staff to deepen Monash’s research expertise and links in Italy or elsewhere in Europe. It was established in recognition of the Founding Director of our centre.
In recent years, the fellowship has been directed to Monash postgraduate research candidates in Medieval and Renaissance Studies to build this research area at our centre. The fellows participate in the Medieval and Renaissance workshop held here in December each year, and also pursue an aspect of their own research in Europe.
Information about the next round of fellowships will be made available soon.
Australian European University Institute Fellowships
These fellowships are available to researchers currently undertaking research in history, law, economics, and social and political sciences who are able to identify a direct benefit for their research from a period of residence at the European University Institute (EUI).
The fellowships are for Australian researchers - established, early career, and PhD candidates - to avail themselves of the resources and intellectual environment of the EUI. The fellowships are offered by the Australian European University Institute Fellowships Association Incorporated (AEUIFAI).
Applications close on 15 March each year and successful applicants are notified by late June.
More details are available on the European Union Delegation’s website.
