Monash Prato Centre Christmas-New Year closure

Closure dates over the 2014-2015 Christmas-New Year festive period.

The Monash University Prato Centre will be closed on the following dates over the Christmas-New Year festive period:

  • 24th to 28th December 2014 inclusive
  • 31st December 2014 to 4 January 2015 inclusive
  • 6 January 2015

MADA students say “arrivederci” to Prato

Final exhibition for students at Monash Prato Centre

Wednesday 22 October marked the conclusion of MADA students’ stay in Prato and they said goodbye to the city with a final exhibition that took place at the Prato Centre. The exhibition displayed a variety of works, from photography to video installations and urban planning rendering design for proposed student housing in Prato. It was visited by many locals, including city councillors Daniela Toccafondi and Simone Mangani.

Informal exhibition by Monash Fine Arts and Architecture students marking the conclusion of their semester program in Prato, Italy.

After nearly two months of field and studio work, Monash Fine Arts and Architecture students will present their responses in an informal exhibition to be inaugurated on Wednesday 22nd October at 6:30pm on the ground floor of the Monash Prato Centre, Via Pugliesi 26. 

The exhibition will remain open to the public the next day, Thursday 23rd October, from 4-7pm.

Free entry.  All welcome.

Architecture students engage with the city and its river

Following the success of last year's edition, once again the Monash University architecture students, currently in Prato, have engaged in a series of temporary installations in the city.  The theme this year is the river Bisenzio, its impact and influence on the identity of the city.

The official project launch, entitled "Multiple Entities", will be held at 2.00pm on Tuesday 7 October in the courtyard of the Monash Prato Centre, in via Pugliesi 26. Students will lead the way to each of the five selected sites that host their installations along the river.
