Welcome to Stuart Ringholt, Visual Resident 2017

We are delighted to welcome Stuart Ringholt who will spend three months in Prato as the 2017 Monash University Prato Centre Visual Resident.

Stuart Ringholt will be developing a project inspired by the many famous clock towers that can be found in Tuscany. These new works will build on other horological pieces he has created, including his 2014 work Untitled (Clock), now in the collection of Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

The Monash University Prato Centre Visual Residency Program is a collaborative initiative between the Monash Prato Centre and the Monash Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture. During his residency, Stuart will engage with local institutions and industry, and students of the Fine Art and Design programs, who are undertaking courses at our centre at the same time, will have the unique opportunity to interact with Stuart and be inspired by his practice.

We invite students, academics and the local community to meet Stuart on Monday 11 September 2017 at 7pm at the Monash Prato Centre in Via Pugliesi 26 at the presentation of the 2017 Visual Residency Program during which some of the artist's existing works will be shown.

You can read more about Stuart’s work and the Monash University Prato Centre Visual Residency Program on our website.
