Laresa Kosloff is the artist selected for Visual Residency program 2015

Laresa Kosloff has been selected as the 2015 Visual Resident Artist at Monash Prato Centre

We are delighted to announce that Dr Laresa Kosloff has accepted an invitation to be the Monash University Prato Centre Visual Resident for 2015.

Laresa Kosloff makes performative videos, Super 8 films, hand drawn animations, sculpture, installations and live performance works. Her practice examines various representational strategies, each one linked by an interest in the body and its agency within the everyday. Laresa's practice is performance-based.  Through use of video and installation, during her Prato residency she will seek to explore the psychology of formalism and placement from a humanist perspective.

The MUPC Visual Residency Program is a collaborative initiative between the Monash Prato Centre and MADA, the Monash Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture. It highlights the University’s commitment to contemporary art, design and architecture and to building an international profile in creative practice and research.

Dr Laresa Kosloff will undertake the residency in the second half of 2015. Further information about her work is available at her website and about the program at the MUPC Visual Residency Program webpage.
