Mr David Rosetzky has accepted an invitation to be the Monash University Prato Centre Visual Resident for 2013

We are delighted to announce that Mr David Rosetzky has accepted an invitation to be the Monash University Prato Centre Visual Resident for 2013.
Rosetzky is a Melbourne-based artist with an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to art making. Often working with practitioners from the fields of theatre, dance, film and sound – he creates videos, installations and photographic works in which identity is intimately observed. With an extensive exhibition history both in Australia and overseas, Rosetzky’s ‘Portrait of Cate Blanchett‘ (2008) was exhibited in The Third ICP Triennial of Photography and Video at the International Centre for Photography in New York. Recent solo projects include ‘How to Feel’ exhibited at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (2011) and the Glasgow International Festival of Visual Art (2012).

The MUPC Visual Residency Program is a collaborative initiative between the Monash Prato Centre and MADA, the Monash Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture. It highlights the University’s commitment to contemporary art, design and architecture and to building an international profile in creative practice and research.

David Rosetzky will undertake the residency in the second half of 2013. Further information about Rosetzky and the MUPC Visual Residency Program can be found on our webpage.
